- name: kisa, seems to be swedish for 'cat', or maybe 'squinty'
- acquired: as 1.5 year old adult from the humane society by coyote point, january 1994
- fat, sweet, golden-brown tabby
- hobbies: eating, sleeping, being petted, bathing 8-ball, head butting or dragging the water dish off the tray, drinking water out of faucets after meowing insistantly for people to turn them on, nuzzling a sponge/pillow/plastic kitten toy, purring
- likes: purina one as a 'treat', her sponge, her catnip pillow, her 'baby', which is a cherry-scented, pink kitten toy of mine, running water, polar fleece or my mom's knitting
- dislikes: nick, having her tummy petted

8-ball
- name: 8-ball, like the pool ball which is mostly black with an underside of white, although she has no '8' on her belly
- acquired: as a kitten from some friends of my parents who rescued her from some stupid little kids: they had us over for dinner once when i was rather young and we wound up taking her home because they didn't want her
- a scaredy-pants, still kitten-shaped/sized, very graceful when jumping
- hobbies: extending her claws into nearly everything, not aggressively though, especially into people who try to pick her up, being licked by kisa, being molested by nick, gazing out the window at the outside where she isn't allowed, begging for table scraps
- likes: catnip, being petted, meat, having her tummy petted, being picked up and held like a baby (by kathleen only)
- dislikes: nick, strangers/big people (most of the time)
- once caught drinking out of the toilet
- now has a deformed right pupil

- name: named nicholas by the vet, shortend to nick, or nicky, by us
- acquired: as a 9 month old kitten from our vet because the humane societies were not participating (closed that day). we were looking specifically for a girl, but nick looked just like 8-ball, was very playful, and was too old to be really attractive to potential adopters
- loud, agressive, playful, sleek and shiny boy
- hobbies: harrassing the neighborhood dogs, molesting 8-ball, spending all his time outside, eating, sleeping, hunting, visiting neighbors
- likes: outside, food, rolling in dirt, harrassing dogs and 8-ball, the little kids on my street (he bites kathleen, but not them...)
- dislikes: being held/petted (sometimes), being kept inside
